Olympic and world 5000m champion confirms he will tackle his traditional mid-winter fitness test in Antalya on December 8
Jakob Ingebrigtsen missed last year’s European Cross Country Championships in Brussels due to injury but the Norwegian says he is looking forward to racing this year’s event in Antalya, Turkey, next month.
Posting on Instagram from his training camp, he said: “Only 19 days until the European Cross Country Championships in Antalya! Very excited to race such a prestigious event with a strong Norwegian team.”
Ingebrigtsen won the under-20 title at these championships four times from 2016-2019. Post-pandemic, he then returned to win the senior men’s title in Dublin in 2021 and Turin in 2022.
