James Forrest will continue his long Celtic career until at least the summer of 2026 after signing a year-long contract extension.
The 33-year-old winger looks certain to become the club’s most decorated player, with his haul of 24 trophies just one behind Bobby Lennox.
Having made his debut in 2010, Forrest has made 511 appearances, scoring 109 goals and providing 107 assists.
“I’ve loved every minute of being here, from being a wee boy coming through the youth and all the ups that I’ve had playing for the first team,” he told Celtic TV.
“I’m just delighted that I’ve managed to work hard and hopefully I can keep contributing to the team for another year.”
Capped 39 times for Scotland, Forrest has started six games for Celtic this season, coming off the bench a further 10 times.
“James has given everything to Celtic and so much to me personally, but make no mistake, he has so much more to give,” said manager Brendan Rodgers.
“I look at last season and this one already, and see a player undoubtedly who will still deliver for us.
“He is a born winner, someone with such talent and desire and I know he can play a hugely important role in bringing us continued success.”
